Midweek Rainy Day Roundup

There’s a lot going on with all of us here at RAL. It’s Springtime which means soccer games, baseball practices, campouts, and lot’s of . . . rain. I’m watching the rain pour down outside right now. I love the sound of rain falling on the house, with the faint sound of distant thunder. Makes for a good night’s sleep. I hope your week is going well. This Wednesday, I present several posts from around the blogosphere that made me sit up and pay attention. There’s lots of great writing out there, so check them out.
Learn To Love What You Hate
My Super-Charged Life had a great post about what it takes to be a success. It turns out to be something any of us can do. We’re all capable of achieving the next step toward our definition of success, but often the barrier is having the discipline to do the hard work that no one else wants to do.
Watching Life Pass you By
If you haven’t heard of Jonathan Fields, then you need to read his blog, Awake at the Wheel. He mainly writes about work and life, and he hit a homerun with this post on putting down the computer (or whatever gets in your way) and go out, get dirty, and create something instead of writing about what other people are doing.
Might As Well Panic
Seth Godin has been blogging since before there was a term for it. His post reminds me that we’re inundated with people in a panic — mostly in the media. We should be praising the people who are prepared for the storms of life. Instead, we marginalize the people who are prepared and instead join in on the panic with those who have their heads buried.
I’m off to my niece’s birthday party, then hopefully a little time tonight to work on a new project. More about that later. Have a great night.
