Just Good Enough

For those of you who haven’t heard of Seth Godin, you need to stop reading this post, click here, and go check him out. He’s been blogging about business and marketing since before the word “blog” existed. Even if you’re not interested in business or marketing, Seth’s writings have applications to everyday life.
A few days ago, Seth wrote a short post that I thought fit the direction of Ready Aim Life. We’re challenging ourselves and our readers to live life to the fullest, which means that we won’t accept anything less than our best.
Mediocrity is not an option.
Normally, I would never re-print an entire post of someone’s work, but the post was so short that it warrants a full reading:
On the road to mediocrity
Along the way, we settle.
We settle for something not quite right, or an outfit that isn’t our best look, or a job that doesn’t quite maximize our talents. We settle for relationships that don’t give us joy, or a website that’s, “good enough.”
The only way to get mediocre is one step at a time.
You don’t have to settle. It’s a choice you get to make every day.
